Rawalakot also popular by its second name of "Pearl Valley" is the capital of Poonch District in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 5,374 feet at an approximate distance of 120 KM from the Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan and is connected by road via Azad Pattan and Dhalkot. Rawalakot is one of the most beautiful valleys of Azad Kashmir, the winters in Rawalakot are cold and chilly, in summer the weather is a little bit warm.  Rawalakot is surrounding by many villages and attractive places, and Banjosa and Tolipir are two most popular tourism destination in this area.
