Stunning River between the Mountains

Originating from Lulusar Lake in Kaghan, and fed by icy cold waters from Dudipat Lake, Saiful Muluk Lake, Malka Parbat Glacier and other water streams, Khunhar River is the most magnificent and beautiful river in Kaghan Valley. The 166 Kilometer long river flows through the entire Kaghan valley, Jalkhad, the Naran Valley, Kaghan, Balakot, Garhi Habibullah and Dalola before joining River Jhelum outside Muzaffarabad, in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The river offers great eye-catching scenes while travelling from Manshera toward Naran on Mansehra-Naran-Babusar-Chillas Highway. There are many decent eateries along the side of the river bank serving different local dishes, as well as the famous pink trout fish from the River Kunhar.
